Lead Management
Panacea assisted in the cleanup of lead-impacted soil on Southern California residential properties under the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). Our services included:
- Providing oversight for lead-impacted soil cleanup
- Technical reviews of lead testing equipment, laboratory methods, and sampling techniques
- Assisting in project workplan preparation
- Conducting dust monitoring reports in compliance with air quality standards
- Overseeing lead removal and asbestos abatement work
- Noise monitoring and waste disposal oversight
Asbestos and Lead Management
Over a 3-year span, Panacea reviewed Phase 1 and 2 reports for a large school district HVAC project. Our contributions:
- Determining HVAC project impact on materials
- Preparing additional reports for expanded project areas
- Overseeing lead-related construction work
- Generating Phase 3 closeout report
Asbestos and Lead Management
For a former Manufacturing Gas Plant, Panacea conducted surveys, reviewed lead assessments, prepared specifications, and performed air monitoring. We accomplished:
- Supplemental asbestos survey
- Developing removal specifications for asbestos and lead
- Reviewing and advising on lead assessment deficiencies
- Performing Rule 1466 air monitoring
Microbial Investigation
In a commercial office space, Panacea conducted fungal spore sampling in water-damaged areas, accompanied by a moisture assessment. Our services:
- Observing visible mold growth and water intrusion signs
- Nonviable fungal sampling and comparison with outdoor samples
- Assessing moisture content using a moisture meter
- Reporting findings and recommendations
Microbial Investigation
Panacea assessed moisture and performed fungal spore trap sampling in another commercial office building. Our work:
- Collecting indoor and outdoor fungal spore samples
- Observing mold growth and water staining
- Creating a figure to illustrate sample locations
Environmental Compliance
As third-party consultants, Panacea’s air monitoring experts provided dust monitoring services for an excavation project:
- Setting up real-time dust monitors for PM10 concentrations
- Evaluating data against air quality criteria
- Enacting dust suppression procedures for elevated PM10 levels
